Alireza Shafaei, a UBC Machine Learning PhD., was getting his headshots for his graduation at The Artona Group, when he noticed that the editing process for his photos were tedious and inefficient. So he thought to himself “why can't this be automated?”. Soon after, he figured out a way to solve that, partnering with TJ Rak to create Skylab, offering an automated AI photography solution for post-production correction. It was a no-brainer that this was the way of the future in photo editing.
